Square Roots

Square Roots was created out of a love for different styles of music, and the chance happening of finding the right mix of individuals to put them together.

All having played in various rock bands, and acoustic groups throughout the years, with many of the same people, you might say, Christina, Scott, Rich, & Kennon met through six degrees of various musicians.

Formed in the fall of 2003 and all having the desire to get back to what made them fall in love with music in the first place, they decided to blend Acoustic guitars with electric, organic bass tones with an added funk flavor, various forms of hand percussion, and three part harmony vocals, to bring to the masses what is now
known as Square Roots.

Their first CD, the self titled six song EP is rich in Americana based music and the influence is obvious. Blues, bluegrass, rock, pop, and anything else that could possibly bend your ear. Their second CD, Twisted Crazy Beautiful is an amazing Sophomore Recording with bigger & better influences, harmonies, and

Square Roots live show is full of energy, and promises the best musical time you’ll ever have. Not a show goes by without a couple of friends showing up to play and add a little flavor, such as Dobro’s, trumpets, harmonicas, and other assorted instruments . While doing their original tunes, they throw in some songs
of the most influential songwriters of our time. Paying homage to the songs and songwriters who stole their hearts so long ago. Getting back to the Roots of why they started playing in the first place.
